Congratulations to Luke Dunphy of Fayetteville, North Carolina, winner of the Colin Edwards racing suit seen in the December 2006 issue of Motorcyclist magazine. 

Dunphy correctly answered all the trivia questions below and was randomly chosen to win the suit.

1. I don't feel as though advances in safety gear will ever stop amazing me. As soon I recieved Colin's suit in the mail (the day after Christmas, might I add, easily the best present I've ever received) I was stunned at it's (lack of) wieght, flexibility, and incredible strength. If any of you were watching the 2004 MotoGP race at Mugello, I need't remind you of Shinya Nakano's lap 13 crash on the front straight. Nakano performed four involuntary somersaults on the tarmac at 200 mph, followed immediately by 3 more in the grass before coming to rest by the trackside wall. Just days later, Nakano was back on the bike at Catalunya, only having suffered "bruises and minor contusions" from his fall.

I was able to get a hold of the leather suit Nakano was wearing during the crash when I visited the NEC Birmingham bike show in England that fall. The suit had only 3 very minor tears, of which only one dime-sized tear actually exposed the rider to the elements. It absolutely amazed me. It always will.

7. Hello people...... I found this site qute by accident and saw this photo of Luke. I hope I am not the bearer of horrible news.
