This year, in addition to the regular version of its air-cooled, ’80s-retro CB1100 super standard, Honda will also offer this new Deluxe version with a host of trim changes and antilock brakes. Look closely and you’ll see the sidecovers have been reshaped to cover the frame and close the gap with the bottom of the tank, which is now 0.5 gallon larger and slightly taller than before. The seat has also been restyled with a new tufted retro pattern and the 4-into-2 exhaust system is new, too. ABS is standard on the $11,899 Deluxe—a $1,500 upgrade over the base model—and both bikes get an added sixth ratio in the transmission, a big upgrade over last year’s five-speed bike.
