Burnouts fade, but rivets are forever. If you’re looking for a way to leave a lasting mark on the Harley-Davidson Museum campus, the Motor Company has just the thing: H-D’s Living the Legend rivets provide the opportunity to permanently affix your message to the curved Rivet Wall that rests on the lawn of the museum’s 20-acre facility in Milwaukee, WI.
In recognition of the Motor Company’s 110th anniversary, H-D is now offering special 110th anniversary rivets. Place your order by June 15th and Harley guarantees that your rivet will be installed in time for the 110thAnniversary Celebration in over Labor Day weekend.
The rivets, more appropriately described as buttons, are made from electroplated stainless steel and jaw-droppingly expensive. A 3 inch rivet with room for three lines of text costs $250. Need to say more? A 6 in. rivet lets you leave four lines of text, but it’ll cost you $1500.
Despite those high prices, H-D has sold more than 4000 rivets to sentimental motorists since the Rivet Wall’s inception in the summer of 2008.
“Every rider and Harley-Davidson enthusiast has a special bond to our brand,” said Bill Davidson, Vice President of the Harley-Davidson Museum. “The Living the Legend rivet provides a way to memorialize these experiences, which are then placed permanently on the Rivet Wall at the Harley-Davidson Museum.”
