When it comes to new motorcycles, it’s not hard to attract our attention. Hell, we’d queue up next to a dumpster behind the local Burger King to get our first hard look at Aprilia’s RSV4, or road trip to an unfurnished storage closet in South Jersey just to lay eyes on BMW’s S1000RR. Apparently, judging from our recent trip to the 2008 Intermot Show in Germany, the average European motorcycle consumer is slightly more difficult to please. Not only do motorcycle OEMs construct flashy, mega-watt displays to exhibit their latest models to the Euro moto-horde, they also adorn the machines with the most beautiful young women this side of a Paris catwalk-guaranteed to snap even the most pulseless German pensioner out of his show floor stupor. We’re not sure if these Bike Betties know a sprocket from a schnitzel-few spoke our language and some, it seemed, didn’t even know how to smile. We didn’t really care one way or the other, though. It sure beats looking at a Burger King grease trap.

What bikes?
Hubba, hubba. I like that some of them are actually dressed kind of classy (I saw a coat and hat). The cool bikes are easy on the eyes as well.
