According to Powersports Business, the new Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. has reported strong wholesale and retail sales growth after one month in operation. Combined motorcycle, ATV and scooter sales to Suzuki dealers are up 68 percent for April compared to last year’s sales (reported by American Suzuki Motor Corp.).

Retail sales have been solid also, the RM-Z motocross bikes sold out and dealer inventory moving quickly.  Suzuki’s zero percent retail financing and a Yoshimura exhaust sales promotion have driven record sales of the bikes. Suzuki is also seeing impressive demand for the DR650SE and DR-Z400SM.

New 2013 Suzuki motorcycles are arriving at dealerships throughout May and June, and Suzuki officials expect robust sales to continue, with the SFV650, the Hayabusa, the DR-Z400SM and Suzuki Boulevard M90 and M50 at the top of the list.

“Riding season is upon us, and Suzuki dealers are eager to show these compelling new products that will satisfy a variety of motorcycling interests,” said Rod Lopusnak, general manager — National Sales MC/ATV Division.

Suzuki’s ongoing “50 Years Strong” anniversary event celebrates the manufacturer’s half-century in America and encourages consumers to connect with Suzuki. A “50 Years of You” sweepstakes contest invites Suzuki fans to visit dealers and to share their own stories of Suzuki motorcycle ownership through the company’s website and social media communities.
