The Paris Hilton we know promotes perfume while toting handbags containing pocket-sized Chihuahuas, so it comes as a surprise that she is starting her own MotoGP team.
According to The New York Times, the pink-loving socialite will be part owner of “SuperMartxé VIP by Paris Hilton.” The team is set to compete in the 2011 125cc World Championship. Paris will attend five MotoGP races as part of her contract. We don’t really know Paris’ motivation behind the unlikely move. At this point, the only thing we can say regarding her venture into motorcycle racing is, “That’s hot!”

Oh now guys…..Take it easy on her.

Most football team owners don’t know squat about the the game or the players. Yet they still seem to get the team and respect. Plus, they are all UGLY!!!!

Remember, Paris hasn’t done anything your wifes haven’t done or anything your daughters aren’t going to do one day.

I used to hang out with Paris, before she raced flat track. Of course this was a long time ago. She wasn’t Paris Hilton back then, she was Paris Motel 6.

Anyway, after she got into the reality show game it was like she didn’t want to know the old crowd. Me, billy Super 8, Debbie Days Inn – we were toxic to her.

One thing she told me that has stuck: never get a dog bigger than a disc brake rotor.

Doesn’t Michael Jordan sponsor Ben Bostrom’s team? Not much different except she’s much better looking.

You know it’s amazing. Here’s a woman that knows nothing about motorcycles, yet she’s sponsoring a team.

Whereas Freedom Powersports in Georgia that knows about motorcycles, will screw you big time. They sell Victorys, Polaris, SeaDoo, Can-Am, and Suzuki. I went and applied for a job, got the job, even to the point where it was guaranteed in writing. I showed up on the 23rd of May 20 mins early for work, and was told I no longer had the job. Now this is after I had already moved from Alabama lock, stock, and barrel. The son, who is also co-owner and partner shook my hand, looked me in the eye, and flat out lied to me.
Moral of this story is, if you are looking for a job, stay as far away from Freedom Powersports as you can. Even if they offer you $100. dollars an hour. They CAN NOT be trusted, and you’ll get screwed in the end. Don’t buy anything from them either.

A lot of people don’t know it but Paris Hilton is a long time AMA Expert flat track racer. She won three Grand National events outright and made the main countless times. She was famous for her last-lap high-line heroics and won many races sliding across the finish line on her well-turned-out bottom.

So yes, it is kind of strange that she’s getting into road racing. That stuff’s for sissies.

    We’ll see…
I doubt that Paris gives a whit about racing, or motorcycles in general. Her involvement has a whiff of desperation about it. That is, her face has been last pervasive over the past year. Methinks her handlers have decided that this is a way to get a bit of a buzz going. So be it.

The Big question is whether or not this will actually help racing; I doubt it. They’ll be increased mainstream interest for a short time (with the actual racers being reseated at the back of the bus) but long-term this will just be yet another poseur dipping into the two-wheeled world.
